VIA show C7 boards at CeBIT

We took a look inside AOpen's next generation of miniPC - the MP945-VX - measuring just 6 x 6 inches. AOpen have achieved this feat with a tiny Intel 945GT chipset motherboard.

The Pentium M processor is cooled by a blower fan arrangement which sucks air through the case. Storage is in the form of a 2.5in SATA HDD, and a slot loading slimline optical drive. A DDRII SODIMM memory module saves space, but internal expansion (Bluetooth, WiFi etc.) is still possible using the Mini-PCI slot.

The back panel connectors on the miniPC are: DC in; DVI out; S-Video out; Gigabit Ethernet; Firewire; 2 x USB 2.0; 3 x 3.5mm audio jacks.
